About NIDOE-Ireland Chapter

The Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Europe (NIDOE) Ireland Chapter is the Republic of Ireland arm of the global Nigerian Diaspora network, NIDO Europe. Officially registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee, NIDOE-Ireland serves as a bridge between the Nigerian Diaspora community in Ireland and national development initiatives in Nigeria.

Recognized by the Government of Nigeria, NIDOE-Ireland provides an official platform for individual Nigerians, community organizations, and corporate entities to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria's socio-economic growth. The organization collaborates with Nigerian professional bodies, public institutions, and private enterprises to drive impact in key areas such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), professional networking, stakeholder advocacy, medical missions, educational support, and skills transfer to Nigeria.

VISSION

To unite Nigerians residing across the four provinces and 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland and leverage their professional expertise in various fields such as education, information technology, health, economics, science, administration, law, political and corporate governance, and management to contribute to Nigeria’s national development.

NIDOE-Ireland strives to provide a platform for Nigerians in Ireland to collaborate, work together, and channel their talents, expertise, and resources towards the sustainable development of Nigeria.

Aims & Objectives

    To serve as a platform for harnessing the economic and intellectual skills of the Irish-Nigerian Diaspora community to support Nigeria’s economic and social development.

    To foster partnerships between the Nigerian diaspora community and host country stakeholders across economic, political, and social sectors.

  • 03

    To promote and enhance a positive image of Nigeria through the contributions and positive actions of the Nigerian community in Ireland.

Core Activities

1. Networking & Engagement:

  • Organizing events and activities that facilitate interaction and collaboration among community members, host country communities, and other Nigerian Diaspora groups worldwide.

  • Coordinating participation in Nigeria’s annual National Diaspora Day Celebration on July 25th, recognizing the contributions of the Diaspora to national development.

2. National Capacity Building:

  • Facilitating investment, employment, volunteering, and mentoring opportunities for Nigerian professionals.

  • Contributing to the efforts of the central structure – NIDO Europe to facilitate the establishment of a Global Database of Nigerian Professionals to aid national development efforts.

3. Advocacy & Representation:
